The Power Of Our Words
Reading: Proverbs 18:20-21
Use Fill In Lines To Write Your Thoughts Inspirations and what the Lord Speaks to you
Devotional: Our words have incredible power - to build up or tear down, to speak life or death. Today’s reading reminds us that we will “eat the fruit” of our words. The power of our words is a recurring theme in Scripture. Proverbs 18:21 reminds us that “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” As believers, we’re called to speak life-giving words of faith, even in the face of adversity. Think about the situations in your life that seem hopeless. How can you speak words of faith over these circumstances? Consider the words you’ve been speaking over yourself and others. Have they been life-giving or destructive? Challenge yourself to be more intentional with your speech. Speak God’s promises over your life and the lives of others. Challenge yourself to replace negative self-talk or doubt with declarations of God’s promises. Remember, like David facing Goliath, our words can be powerful weapons of faith.Declare who you are in Christ, not what your circumstances or others say about you. Remember, you are who God says you are - loved, redeemed, and empowered by His Spirit.
