The Two-Way Street of Commitment
Reading: James 4:8; Psalm 37:4-5
Devotional: God never leaves or forsakes you, yet proximity to Him is your choice. How close you feel to God reflects how much you're pressing into Him. When you don't sense His presence, don't walk away—press in harder. Commitment is reciprocal: God is fully committed to you, but are you fully committed to Him? As you align your ways with His, something miraculous happens—your desires transform. What you want begins to mirror what He wants. This makes it simple for God to give you the desires of your heart because His desires have become yours. Today, evaluate your commitment level. Draw near to God with intentionality, and watch Him draw near to you.
