Beyond Belief to Following
Reading: Matthew 7:21-23; James 2:14-20
Devotional: There's a critical difference between believing in Christ and following Christ. Many call Him "Lord" but don't do what He commands. To be a disciple means to follow the teachings of your Teacher. Jesus didn't come to abolish the law but to fulfill it, and His grace isn't permission to live carelessly—it's power to live righteously. We carefully obey traffic laws to avoid tickets, yet treat God's commands as mere suggestions, counting on "gravy grace" to cover our deliberate disobedience. God desires obedience from a transformed heart, not religious performance. Today, examine your life: Are you merely a believer, or are you a follower? True transformation moves beyond emotional moments to actionable obedience. Follow Him daily.
