Day 1: The Humble King Enters Your Life
Reading: Matthew 21:1-11; Zechariah 9:9
Devotional: Jesus entered Jerusalem not on a war horse, but on a humble donkey—exactly as prophesied. This wasn't weakness; it was intentional humility. The King of Kings chose the lowliest entrance to demonstrate that His kingdom operates differently than earthly powers. He didn't come to conquer nations but to free hearts. Today, consider where you've been waiting for God to show up in flashy, dramatic ways. Perhaps He's already riding humbly into the ordinary moments of your life, ready to do extraordinary work within you. The same Jesus who knew every detail of that day—the colt, the questions, the outcome—knows every detail of your situation. He's in complete control, and He's moving toward you, not away from you.
Reflection: What area of your life needs Jesus to enter today? Are you resisting His humble approach because you're expecting something more dramatic?
