Walking As Children Of The Light-Day #1 From Snacking To Surrender

Day 1: Walking as Children of Light
Reading: Ephesians 5:8-21

Devotional: You were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. This isn't just about carrying a flashlight through dark places—you ARE the light. Many believers live "half-lit," one foot in God's kingdom, one foot in the snack closet. One foot in God's kingdom, and one foot in the world. God doesn't just say "stop that." But God calls you to something more. He invites you into training for freedom. Today, examine your life honestly. Are you truly walking as light, or are you just going through the motions? Identify the snack. Remove the stash—make it harder to sin. Replace the snack with something better: worship instead of scrolling, prayer instead of drama, Scripture instead of empty entertainment. Find accountability with trusted believers who will walk with you. Celebrate each step of obedience as God's grace at work. Stop settling for dimmed living when you were created to shine brilliantly for His glory. The same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in you. You're not meant to blend into darkness but to expose it, transform it, and illuminate it. Today, choose training over pretending, freedom over snacking, and the Father's table over the enemy's crumbs.

Reflection Question:
What areas of my life am I living "half-lit" instead of fully surrendered to God's light?

What practical step will I take today to move from snacking to surrender?
