From Rules To Relationship-Day #1 Separated To Be Saturated

Day 1: From Rules to Relationship

Reading: 2 Corinthians 6:17-18

Devotional:
God's call to "come out and be separate" isn't about regulation, it's an invitation to intimacy. This call to separation isn't about restricting your life, it's about receiving His love. When the Father says, "come out and be separate," He immediately follows with "I will be a Father to you." Separation isn't God taking things from you, it's God preparing to bring something through you. Like a water filter doesn't steal water but removes what harms, God removes what prevents closeness with Him. This isn't about a list of don'ts; it's an invitation into intimate relationship. Like a loving father protecting his children, God separates you from what harms you so He can draw you closer. The boundaries aren't walls keeping you trapped, they're guardrails keeping you safe on the path to His presence. Holiness means "I belong to Him" not just "I don't do that."  Today, examine where you've reduced holiness to a checklist of "don'ts" instead of embracing it as a love relationship. Your Heavenly Father isn't controlling you; He's calling you closer. Tell yourself, "I belong to Him. I am His and He is mine."

Reflection Questions:

What has God been asking you to separate from, and how might this actually be drawing you closer to Him?

Am I viewing God's standards as restrictions or as relationship?

What area of "separation" have I been viewing as God taking something from me rather than preparing something through me?
