You Are The Temple=Day#3-Separated & Saturated

Day 3: You Are the Temple

Reading: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Devotional: "You are not your own; you were bought at a price." In the Old Testament, God's presence dwelled in a separate, holy temple. Priests approached with reverence, knowing sin meant death. Today, YOU are that temple. Now, He lives in you. You are the temple of the Holy Spirit, set apart exclusively for God's presence and glory. In the Old Testament, priests entered the Holy of Holies with bells on their robes; if they had unconfessed sin, they would drop dead and be pulled out by a rope. We take God's presence for granted.  The Holy Spirit doesn't just visit buildings; He lives in believers. Your body, mind, eyes, and mouth aren't common, they're consecrated. Your body, mind, eyes, and mouth are not yours to do whatever you want, you were bought at a price. This temple isn't a multipurpose building—nightclub on Monday, casino on Tuesday, worship center on Sunday. It's set apart exclusively for God's presence and glory. Ask yourself: "What am I bringing into this temple?" Consider your content, conversations, substances, and relationships. This isn't legal, it's about location. This is God’s House now You're hosting the Holy Spirit. Pray this simple prayer: "Holy Spirit, this is Your house. Show me anything that doesn't belong and give me strength to remove it."

Reflection Questions:

What content, conversations, or substances am I bringing into the temple that doesn't belong?

If the Holy Spirit gave you a walkthrough of your "temple" today, what would He ask you to remove?

If your body is God's temple, what needs to be removed from His house today?
