Fanning The Flame-Building Yourself Up In The Spirit-Day #4-Hosting Heaven's Holy Fire

Day 4: Fanning the Flame - Building Yourself Up in the Spirit

Reading: 1 Corinthians 14:4; Jude 20-21

Devotional:
Praying in tongues is one of the most practical ways to keep your fire burning. When you pray in the Spirit, you're building yourself up without personal agenda or fleshly motive. When you pray in tongues, you're not just speaking mysteries, you're building yourself up spiritually, strengthening your inner person, and fanning the embers of your spirit into flame The Holy Spirit prays through you, strengthening your inner man, adding more fuel to His fire in you. The old nature dies while the new man rises strong. You don't need to wait for church to pray in tongues. Pray while driving, washing dishes, walking, or during your lunch break. Dry Christians don't pray in the Spirit very long. Make it a lifestyle, not an event. It's a constant connection to the Source of the fire. Dry Christians rarely maintain a consistent prayer language; conversely, those who regularly pray in the Spirit stay soaked and smoking. This divine language bypasses your understanding and ministers directly to your spirit, keeping you sensitive to God's voice and saturated in His presence. Don't neglect this gift. Use it throughout your day. As you pray in tongues multiple times throughout your day, you'll notice old addictions losing their grip and divine sensitivity increasing.  Let those rivers flow today—build yourself up and keep yourself in the love of God.

Reflection:
How can you incorporate praying in the Spirit into your daily routine?
