God Chasers Daily Devotion-#7-His Face Brings Favor

If you seek His face, what you get is His favor.” The Church has enjoyed the omnipresence of God, but now you can experience moments of visitation by His manifest presence. It makes your hair stand up on end. It runs off demonic forces. But it entices God chasers to run toward…Him!

Numbers 6:25  The LORD make His face shine upon you [with favor], And be gracious to you [surrounding you with lovingkindness];
Numbers 6:26  The LORD lift up His countenance (face) upon you [with divine approval], And give you peace [a tranquil heart and life].'AMP

1Chronicles 16:11  Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually. KJV

2 Chronicles 16:9  For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. KJV

1Peter 3:12  For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

The Eyes of the Lord are everywhere. He is constantly observing our lives. When we turn our face towards Him with hungry hearts, seeking His face, His favor is towards us. Seek His face continually. Seek to have an up-close and personal relationship with Him. Remember God is a discerner of our hearts. He knows where our heart is. He knows the difference between lip-service and hungry devoted believers seeking nothing more than more of Him. Seek Him for nothing more than just getting closer to Him and experiencing fellowship and conversation with Him. When We do this we will be transformed and changed glowing like Moses.

Mat 5:8  Blessed are the pure in heart! For they shall see God. MKJV

Psa 24:3  Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?
Psa 24:4  He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. MKJV

 The Psalmist David experienced God's face being towards him and also God hiding His face from him. We need to keep our hands clean and our hearts pure. Seek our God with all we have, so we can see His face. Remember this, The Lord told Moses "that no man could see His face and live." I believe this scripture is relevant to us today. No flesh can live in front of the face of God. It is impossible to see His face if we are seeking Him in our flesh and all of its desires(what we want, what we need, all about us). Our flesh causes a stench in His nostrils. We must crucify our flesh, turn our face towards him with humble, contrite, repentant hearts who desire nothing more than His face to shine upon them. We can see His face, feel His presence and enjoy fellowship with Him if we turn to Him with no expectations of earthly, fleshly gain and just enjoy the beauty of HIs Holiness. (P.K.)
