God Chasers Daily Devotion-#54

God struck down Uzzah right on the spot and stopped David’s parade in its tracks. God broke out of His box and caused man’s plans to fall that day, and it would take David three months to recover, repent, research, and return for God’s glory. The same thing happens today when we encounter God’s manifest glory. Too often we reach out in fleshly presumption to stop the God we’ve carefully contained in a box from falling off of our rickety man-made ministry program or tradition. We shouldn’t be surprised when God’s glory breaks out of our doctrinal or traditional boxes and shocks us. Something always dies when God’s glory encounters living flesh.

Reflection By Pastor Kevin

Isaiah 55:6  Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
Isaiah 55:7  Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Isaiah 55:8  For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
Isaiah 55:9  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. KJV
Seek Him while He can be found. Seek Him with all you have. Seek Him with pure intentions and motives. Seek Him because you want to be close to Him. Desire to meet with Him and to fellowship with Him while we are still able to do so. Be real with God. Always remembering that His is the Father, He is the Creator of all things, He is the all powerful, all knowing and present everywhere God! In our seeking let us not think or determine when, where, or how God will show up. Let us not limit God to a program or man made formula to lead us to His presence. Let us seek Him with expectancy, desire and perseverance. Let us just approach Him in humility, reverence and willingness to let Him do what He wants, how He wants, when He wants. (P.K.)
