The Process Of Cleansing-Week#2-Day#1

The Process of Cleansing
God wants every believer to grow with Him until he becomes holy before Him. This is a process of cleansing.—Pastor Mirek Hufton-Forever Free pg 25

1Peter 1:14  As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
1Peter 1:15  But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
1Peter 1:16  Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. —I Peter 1-14-16 KJV

Our God calls us to be Holy, like He is Holy. Holy in every area of our lives. Our walk with the Father should be a continuing process of trying to fulfill this scripture in our daily lives. We should leave no stone unturned, no corner un-swept and no secrets unrevealed. Total transparency with our creator. Total submission and total trust in Him to be the God we read and believe He is!

Luk 9:59  And He said to another, Follow Me! But he said, Lord, first allow me to go and bury my father. —Luke 9:59-MKJV

In Luke 9:59 Jesus tells a man to follow Him. The word “akoloutheo” used for follow means to be in the same way with. Jesus is not just directing us to “follow” Him in a processional manner, He is telling us to be the same as Him, to walk with Him and be just like Him. He is telling us to let Him be our teacher and to be his disciples. The process of cleansing is our journey to become closer to and more like Jesus! On this journey to be more like Jesus, we recognize how far we are from reaching that goal and how imperfect we are and how perfect He is. We recognize and realize that we must change our thoughts, our actions, our behaviors, our attitudes and possibly even our friends, and relationships. This sounds like a tall order, but be encouraged your God loves you and will strengthen and help you along the way!

Isa 1:16  Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes; cease to do evil;
Isa 1:17  learn to do good; seek judgment, reprove the oppressor. Judge the orphan, plead for the widow. —Isaiah 1:16 MKJV

The process of cleansing is up to us. Jesus has done all He can do by offering Himself on the cross and shedding His blood that cleanses us. We must identify the sins in our lives, put it away and call out the devil and stop allowing him to have power and control over our lives. He creeps in through sin. He makes himself at home when we continue to sin also know as iniquity. We must recognize our sin, make a decision to sin no more(repent)and trust Jesus to make us more like Him!

Heb 12:1  Therefore since we also are surrounded with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily besets us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Heb 12:2  looking to Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right of the throne of God. —Hebrews 12: 1-2 MKJV

We must present ourselves to Him. We must present our sins and shortcomings to Him!
Write down your thoughts. Confess your sins, shortcomings and the things you desire to put before the Lord.

Prayer:
Father in the name of your Son Jesus I present myself to you. I bring to you my sins and shortcomings. I repent of these sins and choose to sin no more. Holy Spirit help me, lead me and guide me on the path to truth and cleanliness in the eyes of my Father. Holy Spirit teach how to be more like Jesus! Help me not to just know who Jesus is, but help me become closer to Him with each passing day. Lord Jesus, I give you access to the areas of my life represented by these sins and shortcomings. Help me keep my house clean and make more room for you! Satan i put you on notice and renounce you and your sinful ways and your demonic forces in my life, I will not follow you I choose to follow Jesus and be more like Him!!!
In Jesus Name I Pray!!!
