When God made man, He made him first a spirit being, living in a body possessing a soul. The Bible helps define three parts of man in the New Testament.—Pastor Mirek Hufton-Forever Free-Pg 38
1Th 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
—I Thessalonians 5:23-KJV
Notice that the first part of man is his spirit. The spirit comes before the soul or the body.
The spirit of man is the eternal part of man. It’s the part that never dies. The spirit of man is the highest element of man and is the most powerful part of man.
When God made man, he made him a unique creation. He made man in the image of God meaning that He made him a spirit being in the same family with God. God is an eternal being and so is man. Man will either live eternally in heaven or hell when he leaves this life.—Pastor Mirek Hufton-Forever Free-pg. 38
All of creation could say they are made by God and that would be 100% true. Man on the other hand is not only able to “I am made by God”, man is the only creation that is made in the image of the trinity of God and after their likeness or resemblance. As human creations we were intended to be a reflection of God and resemble Him in the way we live our lives.
Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. —Geneses 1:26-27-KJV
Man is the only creation that was given dominion over all of the other creations. Tis dominion was lost in the Garden of Eden when Adam & Eve fell for the temptation of the devil. Thankfully Jesus restored that divine order God had created when he was crucified on Calvary and rose again.
When God created all of His other creations, He did so by speaking the creation into existence. Man, however was formed in the Hands of God from the earth that he created. God took time and formed man into an object that was in the image of the trinity. At that point man was not alive, he was just dirt, a lifeless clay doll. That changed in the instant that God breathed the breath of life into man’s nostrils and he became alive.
Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. —Genesis 2:7-KJV
After the resurrection of Jesus, He did something very similar with His disciples. The Bible says that Jesus breathed on His disciples and they received the Holy Spirit. Jesus was returning the life and dominion back to man in the same way it was originally received. They received the Holy Ghost.
Joh 20:22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: —John 20:22-KJV
The Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit comes to live inside us at salvation and connects our spirit with the Trinity of God! We are hand made and created in the image or likeness of our God. That is why the devil is afraid of you! he recognizes the God on the inside of us and he tries to keep us from allowing our spirt to connect with the Trinity of God by using our flesh and its desires to distract us. His only desire is to prevent us from living in the dominion we were intended live in since the first man was created.
Confession:
I am a hand made child of God. God took time and formed me with His hands in my mothers womb. He know everything about me because He created me. I am special because I am His. I will not allow the devil, my adversary to distract me from the connection I have with my God through His Holy Spirit. I will allow the Holy Spirit to complete the process that God has started in my life, and that begins right here and right now. I receive the breath of God in my life today and will continue to receive it every day until I meet Jesus in the clouds on the day of the rapture!
Prayer:
Father, In the name of your Son Jesus and by the power of the Holy Ghost I ask you to fill me with your breath of life which is your Spirit. Help me nourish my relationship with your Holy Spirit. Help me follow Jesus and be more like Him! Father thank you for creating me by hand and making me the unique and special person that I am today. Thank you for providing for me a way back into the divine order you originally created!
