Agents Of Light Day#4-Guarding Against Darkenss

Guarding Against Darkness
Reading: Galatians 5:16-26
Devotional: The enemy is a chess player, making small moves that set up larger attacks. He doesn't start with obvious wickedness; he begins with seemingly insignificant compromises. A small lie here, a little jealousy there, some contentions, a bit of selfish ambition. These "small" works of darkness open doors to bigger ones. Once you've crossed one line, the next becomes easier. You lose sensitivity to light and become more comfortable in darkness. But here's the good news: the Holy Spirit within you is greater than any creeping darkness. When you notice shadows encroaching—whether through attitudes, behaviors, or compromises—that's God's Spirit alerting you. Don't ignore those warnings. Walk in the light means daily choosing to expose and eliminate darkness before it takes root.

Reflection Question: What "small" compromise has been creeping into my life that needs to be exposed and eliminated?
