Locked In On Jesus

This message reminds us that walking in freedom is more than a momentary celebration at the altar. It's a daily journey that requires unwavering focus and determination. Drawing from 1 Peter 5:8 and Ephesians 6:11, we're confronted with the reality that we face a real enemy with real schemes designed to distract and deceive us. The enemy cannot undo what Jesus accomplished on the cross, so instead he employs subtle tactics to pull our attention away from truth. Like a scam email that looks almost legitimate, the devil doesn't change the nature of sin—he simply changes the packaging. The message challenges us with this profound truth: the enemy cannot steal our freedom without our agreement and attention. Through practical illustrations about guarding our minds and bringing every thought captive to Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5), we learn that freedom is maintained through focused, obedient choices. The secret place becomes our daily refocusing station where the Holy Spirit sharpens our vision and strengthens our resolve. When we fix our eyes on Jesus as Hebrews 12:1-2 instructs, we discover that determination isn't about never falling—it's about never quitting, falling forward into grace rather than backward into condemnation.
